Since 2012, the Foundation has been building the Copper Tree Fund to ensure future assistance to those in need.  This past fiscal year, the Copper Tree Fund provided more than $28,100 to fund our grants to charities. 

The Copper Tree is located on a prominent wall in the Copperleaf Golf Club, Clubhouse. It represents contributions to The Endowment Fund of the Copperleaf Charitable Foundation. The Endowment Fund was set up so that funds would be available to help charities vetted by The Foundation for many years to come. ​

​The Endowment Fund (also known as the Copper Tree Fund) is a board-designated quasi-endowment established and maintained by internal action of the Board, and is not a true, permanently restricted endowment fund created by donor gift instrument. The Board’s designation reflects its intent to maintain
the Fund as a long-term asset in support of the Foundation’s charitable mission, but does not create any legal restriction on the expenditure of any portion of the Fund, including principal.​​
